Process automation development is one of the most common customisation tasks we see in projects. They are used to do implement business logic, which either automate or enforce business processes. They also allow for advanced data validation and formatting to occur for transactional events.

Application customisation and development is used when the user interface in a standard solution is required to be extended with new forms or business functionality, which is non-standard. Application development is also used when building entire new custom applications or modules for a particular purpose.

Although most customer facing business processes are supported directly in your Cloud solution, there are functional areas, like finance for example, which are supported by external applications.
